I found the idea for a pear/parsley green smoothie on some green smoothie site, and I thought it sounded intriguing.
Yesterday, I blended one up, and was surprised at how light and refreshing it was. This one would be really perfect ice cold on a hot summer night.
2 cups water
1 scoop Amazing Grass Green Superfood
2 spirulina tablets*
3 probiotic capsules, opened, without the capsule*
1 big bunch parsley, stems removed (about two fists worth, I think)
1 1/2 bosc pears cut up
Blend well. Add about 6-8 ice cubes and blend again.
This morning, I varied it by adding in 3 mint leaves, only used half a pear, and added ~2 tsp maple syrup to sweeten.
Both versions were really light and very refreshing. *The spirulina and probiotics punch up the health awesomeness, but it would taste the same without them.
