A little tart, a little sweet

I’ve been on a tart kick lately with my smoothies – just enough tart to wake you up, and just enough sweet to make it happy 🙂

This morning’s smoothie:

1 cup unsweetened coconut milk beverage (or milk of choice)
1 cup water
2 handfuls spinach
2 tbsp canned pumpkin
1 tbsp hemp seeds
1/2 tbsp of honey (sweeten to taste)
1 1/2 cups frozen peaches
1/2 cup – 3/4 cup frozen cranberries

I initially tried it with maybe a teaspoon or two of honey, and it was VERY tart and not in the fun way. The extra honey made a great improvement!
